Many of us in addiction recovery discover relief from our physical addiction, but then we are challenged by the old wounds and "wreckage of the past" that we've experienced. We have a head full of recovery, but a spirit and heart full of pain. Are we alone? No! Our participation in recovery programs gives us a respite from our addictions and a community to help us manage our disease. This retreat will assist us in dealing with our blocked feelings, and whatever issues are keeping us from being fully alive, loving and present. We will look deeper into the steps of recovery and use the Shalom Process to deal with whatever hinders us from full recovery and spiritual growth. We will learn new skills and develop effective tools for healing some of our deepest wounds. We will begin to experience on a deeper level the "Promises" that the recovery literature describes for a new way of life. Come join us in this safe, loving community as we journey together toward more freedom and wholeness.
$650 Retreat fee includes 3 nights lodging & all meals.
The Spirit of Recovery at Shalom Mountain
The Shalom Process and recovery have always gone hand in hand because they both address the healing of brokenness and the core issue of deep spiritual longing. The Spirit of Recovery program is designed to speak to the specific needs of the recovery community who find the Shalom Process a way of continuing their personal and spiritual growth after recovery.
